Sharpen culinary skills with classes at Trocaire College

James E. Carlo, director of Trocaire College’s Hospitality Program and a trained culinary leader, will share his culinary techniques in a series of cooking classes to be offered at the Russell J. Salvatore School of Hospitality & Business, 6681 Transit Road, Lancaster.

First in the series is Mediterranean Appetizers. Attendees will learn how to prepare grilled eggplant, sautéed shrimp, assorted crostini and summer salads. The class will take place Wednesday, Sept. 22.

The Breakfast Cookery class Wednesday, Sept. 29, will teach students how to prepare eggs Benedict, frittata, homemade breakfast hash and stuffed French toast.

Learn the culinary secrets and flavors of India and create Saag chicken, Basmati rice, Naan, Dal and much more Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Each class will be a demonstration style, hands-on session held from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost of each class will be $49.95 per person, including all ingredients.
