Lancaster church again offers residents Financial Peace University

2010-09-02 / Local News

Faith Lancaster United Methodist Church will hold its third Financial Peace University series starting Monday, Sept. 20.

FPU shows participants how to beat debt, build wealth and keep their own economy thriving — even when the national economy is not. Each of the 13 lessons deals with a different topic pertaining to personal finance. The class, taught via DVD by FPU founder Dave Ramsey, teaches how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains and experience giving.

A preview session for the series will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at the church, 5505 Broadway.

The first FPU class will be held the following Monday at 5:30 p.m. The church will provide a light dinner, and the class will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Child care will be provided at no cost. The cost for the 13 sessions is $98. For more information, contact Shawn Carter at 759-8561 or the church office at 683-5293.
