Bur ger Bur ger Charles A. Burger, 72, formerly of Lancaster, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at his home in Orlando, Fla.

He was born in Groveland, N.Y., and was the son of the late Arthur and Louise Burger.

While living in the Lancaster area, Mr. Burger was a member of the Town Line Fire Company and Benevolent Association. In the Orlando area, he retired from Gencor Industries as a machine shop supervisor.

He was the husband of Carolyn (Matthies) Burger, formerly of Alden, and father of Jeffery of Birmingham, Ala., and Keith of Orlando.

Mr. Burger was one of nine siblings, including Joyce Cullen, Bruce Burger, Virginia Minkel, Frieda Woronowski, Sandra Hauser, Richard Burger and Larry Burger. He was predeceased by brother William Burger.

He also is survived by three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at St. John the Baptist Church, 2021 Sandridge Road, Alden.
