Couple exchange vows in native languages

Mr. and Mrs. Michael T. Ulbrich Mr. and Mrs. Michael T. Ulbrich Hege Finstad-Kjos married Michael Thomas Ulbrich during an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Lancaster Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Kelly Negus and the Rev. Per Eric Stave Engdal officiated.

The groom said his vows in Norwegian, the bride’s native language, and the bride said her vows in English, the groom’s native language.

The bride is the daughter of Grethe and Odd Finstad-Kjos of Oslo, Norway. The groom is the son of Lynn and Tom Ulbrich of Williamsville.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore an A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and floor-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple lisianthus flowers.

The maids of honor were Line Finstad Kjos, sister of the bride, and Siri Frang Riise, friend of the bride.

The bridesmaids were Kristin Platou MacBeath and Christine Chambless, friends of the bride.

The flower girls were Albertine and Beatrice Neal, friends of the couple.

The best man was Aurelius Chaves Jr., friend of the groom.

The groomsmen were Michael Giunta, Jamie Henkel and Louis Goldstein, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Park Country Club in Williamsville. The couple honeymooned in Bali, Indonesia.
