A father and son are facing criminal charges, and more arrests are likely, after Depew police executed a search warrant at a Suffield Avenue property last week.

Michael J. Cartwright, 49, and Michael J. Cartwright Jr., 18, were charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives seized a total of more than $10,000 along with numerous scales and pipes, which they say were used in the sale and use of marijuana. They said about 8 ounces of the drug were also found at 67 Suffield Ave.

Both men were remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $2,500 bail for the younger Cartwight and $5,000 for his father.

They are expected to appear in Depew Municipal Court this week. More arrests are likely.
