Put skills to work with volunteer program

Erie County’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is looking for people to put their skills and talents to use by donating their time to the organization.

RSVP is America’s largest volunteer program for adults age 55 and older. Its goal is to identify enriching and rewarding experiences for volunteers while meeting critical needs in the community. With RSVP, volunteers choose where and when they want to serve, as well as the amount of time to give and whether to draw on their current skills or develop new ones.

To get started, call 858-7548 to register for an orientation. The next orientation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Brothers of Mercy, 10570 Bergtold Road, Clarence. Registration is required. Visit www.erie.gov/rsvp to view the entire orientation schedule. and current volunteer opportunities.
