VILLAGE OF LANCASTER

PURCHASE OF ELECTRICITY

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Please take notice that the Village of Lancaster shall receive sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Monday, February 13, 2012, in the office of the Village Clerk at the Municipal Building, 5423 Broadway, Lancaster, New York, 14086, at which time they shall be publicly opened and read aloud for the purchase of electricity at a fixed rate price for utility accounts held by the Village of Lancaster.

A detailed listing of the Village of Lancaster’s electric utility accounts, along with a Bid Form, is available at the Village Clerk’s office. The term of the agreement will be for a 36-month period commencing on or about February 14, 2012 contingent upon Village Board approval. The bid shall be submitted in the form of one (1) fixed price. A supplemental breakdown of the fixed price for each individual account must also be included with the bid.

Bidders must submit an agreement or contract, reflecting the bid price, ready for execution by the Village of Lancaster in the event of approval by the Village Board.

The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to consider the reputation and experience of the Bidder in making its selection, to waive any informalities, or minor deviations from the specifications, and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if Village considers this to be in the best interest of the Village of Lancaster. Village also reserves the right to delete bid sections or items prior to or after award if Village deems this in its best interest.

Bids not received by the time and date specified above will automatically be disqualified. Bid proposals must be either mailed or hand delivered. Bids received via email or fax will not be accepted and will be disqualified.

All bids shall be submitted in writing and shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Bid for Electricity” and addressed to Michael Stegmeier, Village Clerk, Municipal Building, 5423 Broadway, Lancaster, NY 14086.
