The Lancaster Redskins varsity club hockey team extended its winning streak to four games by defeating the the St. Joe’s Marauders, 3-2, and the Orchard Park Quakers, 3-1, this past weekend. Mitch Jurkowski led the way by scoring three goals, with additional goals coming off the sticks of Travis Valvo, Alex Kirschner and team captain Chris Urbanski. Seniors Casey Walters, Alec Courtney and Brian Ziolkowski also chipped in points to help thrust Lancaster’s push to the playoffs.

The Hilbert College baseball team will host a Spring Baseball Clinic on Saturday, Feb. 11. The clinic, held at Hilbert’s Hamburg campus, will be offered in two age-based sessions: 7-12 and 13-17. Registration is open for Hot Shots Girls Lacrosse Day Camp, to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, July 16 to Thursday, July 19 at Amherst High School’s athletic field on Westmoreland Drive in Amherst. Under the direction of Janet Battaglia, the camp is open to girls ages 4-18 regardless of ability or experience. The camp for 4 to 7-year-olds will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There are opportunities for group or individual lessons after camp.
