NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Please take notice that the Village of
Lancaster will receive sealed bids until
10:00 A.M. D.S.T. on Thursday August 9,
2012 for the demolition of the existing
structures located at #105 Livingston St.,
Lancaster, New York 140486. (SBL
#104.16-2-2.). Copies of the pre demolition
asbestos survey and survey map are available at the Village of Lancaster, Department
of Public Works, 5200 Broadway, Lancaster, New York 14086, Monday – Friday from
7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. A pre-bid meeting,
and walk thru has been scheduled for 10:00
A.M.D.S.T. Monday July 30, 2012 at the
site.
The bid shall include: asbestos abatement, structure demolition to three feet (3’)
below existing grade, demolition of the
basement floor in place, removal and disposal of all debris. Foundation to be back
filled with common compacted material and
the site graded, top soiled and seeded. Dust
control, maintenance of pedestrian and
vehicular traffic and protection of adjacent
property and structures shall also be required. The successful bidder shall be responsible to coordinate with all utility companies to
terminate existing utilities before demolition
and shall have the location of the cut off
point of the sewer and water lines conspicuously marked.
The Village of Lancaster reserves the
right to reject any or all bids, to consider the
reputation and experience of the Bidder in
making its selection, to waive any informalities, or minor deviations, and to award the
contract to other than the lowest bidder if the
Village of Lancaster considers this to be in
its best interest .
The Village of Lancaster is an exempt
organization under the Tax Law and is
exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be
separately sold by the CONTRACTOR to
the OWNER prior to incorporation into the
project, pursuant to the provisions of the

contract. These taxes are not to be included
in the bid. Sales tax will be due on all
materials purchased by CONTRACTOR,
which are either “consumable” or rental
property used by the CONTRACTOR in
connection with the demolition of the structures at #105 Livingston St, Lancaster, New
York 14086.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid
within sixty (60) days after the date set for
the opening thereof, but it may be withdrawn at any time prior to the scheduled
time for opening of the bids.
The successful bidder must be an equal
opportunity employer.

enclosed in sealed envelopes plainly
