Roast beef dinner to include raffle

Holy Mother of the Rosary Parish will hold a roast beef dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at its cathedral, 6298 Broadway, Lancaster. Admission is $11 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. Dinner includes roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, bread, dessert and coffee, tea and loganberry. Fashion show to feature raffles

St. Mary’s High School will present its annual spring fashion show, “Denim and Diamonds,“ with doors opening at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road. Raffles and shopping will be followed by dinner and the fashion show. Admission and dinner tickets are $45 and are available at the St. Mary’s High School Office until April 11. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the SMHS office at 683-4824 during school hours. All proceeds benefit student scholarships for the Class of 2016.

VFW Post slates spaghetti dinner

The Lt. Col. Matt Urban Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7275 will hold a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at 3741 Walden Ave., Lancaster. The event will include coffee, tea, pop and dessert. Tickets are $9 in advance or $10 at the door, and takeout will be available. For more information, call 681-8387.

Canisius banquet set at Salvatore’s

‘Bread Man’ to speak on acts of kindness

The United Methodist Women of Faith United Methodist Church will host speaker Chet Fery, the “Bread Man,” for a talk on random acts of kindness at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at 5505 Broadway, Lancaster. A dessert, punch and coffee reception will follow. Tickets are available for a donation of $8 and must be reserved prior to May 1 by calling Loretta at 683-3311.

Pork chop dinner to feature kids’ meal

Blessed Mother Teresa Parish will hold a pork chop dinner at noon Sunday, April 17, at 496 Terrace Blvd. Presale tickets will be available at the rectory for $11 or for $12 at the door.
