Buffalo Cigars to begin new initiatives
The store launched a One Night Only music series in July.
“We try to do it mostly on Thursday and Friday nights from 7 to 10 p.m.,” said Megan Gordon, director of marketing for Buffalo Cigars. “We try to do it every week or every other week.”
Gordon said the store is trying to book artists through the summer.
The $2 million, 5,000-square-foot structure features a variety of tobacco related products, lounge seating and the area’s largest walk-in humidor.
Owned by avid cigar lovers Paul Eusanio and Glen Smith, the store is also planning to switch to 24/7 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
“I think throughout winter that can be a good draw if people are coming in from the bars and they want to smoke a cigar at 6 a.m.,” she said.
Late Night at Buffalo Cigars will begin Friday, Aug. 26.
Gordon said the owners attended a conference in Las Vegas and met another owner who does 24/7 hours, adding the store has nothing to lose by trying it out.
“It’s something that’s going to set us apart from everyone else,” she said.
Buffalo Cigars will also be doing Coffee and Cigars beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19.
The store, which boasts 1,500 different cigar brands, will also have a “Blue Smokers Matter” initiative.
On Wednesday nights, first responders will be given hot dogs and hamburgers and can hang out at the store.
Having strong, positive feedback on the store, Gordon said the company is always looking for new ways to bring in customers.
“We don’t want to get stagnant, so we keep re-evaluating and try to add different initiatives,” she said.
There is also a plan to open an enclosed lounge outside, hopefully by the end the year, Gordon said.
Located at 2911 Southwestern
Blvd. in Orchard Park, Buffalo Cigars is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
