• Progressive Hammocking is the latest game. Each girl is provided with a hammock in which she reclines during the game. The hammocks are hung far enough apart so that no one can see or hear her neighbors. A chaperon is required, preferably two, a lady and a gentleman. To start the game, the boys draw numbers from a hat and then each sets up the hammock which corresponds to the number drawn. At a given signal, he begins to tell the girl in it a love story. By the rules, the love story must be impersonal, but of course they always aren’t. At the end of the 15 minutes, the boys move up one hammock, and each tells another story to a new listener. When each young man has told six love tales to six tender maidens, the girls vote for the best story teller and the boys for the best listener.

• This plot of 18 acres was named yesterday. “Como Terrace” was the name which Mr. Hornaday gave to it. The streets are Como Crescent and Burwell Avenue. Burwell Avenue is a beautiful street 80 feet wide, extending from the main street in Lancaster to Como Crescent. This road is exactly level, and will be macadamized or graveled. The avenue ends abruptly in an oval-shaped piece of ground about 75-feet long by 50-feet wide. In this place will be the water tower which will furnish the residents of Como Terrace with the drinking fluid. Around the outside of the tower will be set out plants, and a beautiful flower bed will adorn the whole outside of the oval.
