NRA funds local youth shooting program

The NRA Foundation has awarded the Ten X Shooting Club in Lancaster a grant totaling more than $3,000 to fund the establishment of a youth shooting program.

“We are very excited about establishing a Youth Shooting program," said Peter Vasilion, President of Ten X. “And pleased that the NRA is making an investment in the youth of our community.”

The establishment of a youth shooting program has long been a goal of the Ten X Shooting Club. However, the costs of starting a program are often prohibitive. The Board of Directors and membership of Ten X have made a commitment to support the program both financially and through instruction from their members. With the support of the NRA Foundation grant, Ten X will be able to expedite the establishment of the group.

Matt Giansante, the Youth Shooting Program Coordinator at Ten X, commented “our goal is simple – to provide a safe shooting environment with proper instruction, all in an effort to encourage young people to embrace the joy and skill that shooting affords.”
