Medaille College to lead talk on health care

Medaille College, at 18 Agassiz Circle, Buffalo, will host a look at Western New York’s changing health care landscape and what it means for business owners. “Buffalo’s Future: Healthcare 101- What It Means for WNY” will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in Medaille’s Main Building lecture hall. Family Promise of WNY to host ‘Choc-toberfest’

Family Promise of WNY, a community organization providing temporary shelter and support to families experiencing homelessness in Western New York, will host its third annual “Choc-tober- fest” at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Resurgence Brewing Company, 1250 Niagara St., Buffalo. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, with a free drink given with any tickets purchased before the event. The evening will feature a celebration of all things chocolate, along with a basket auction, door prizes, a wine cork pull and raffles. To learn more, call 771-3007.

ECC taking names for alumni awards

Erie Community College is accepting nominations for its 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards, which will be presented at the college’s annual Celebrate ECC gala on Thursday, March 15, 2018. These awards are presented annually to ECC graduates who have achieved noteworthy success in their chosen careers and have made significant contributions to the community.
