Demonstrators: Repent and reconcile

Political demonstrations do not solve problems. They only further divisions.

Set down your signs; cease your shouting slogans and curses. Repent of your sins and love your opponents enough to also want them to repent.

Talk to your opponents with a civil tongue. Seek common ground. Negotiate. Understand your opponent’s positions. Compromise if need be and solve the problems. Be reconciled to each other to work in unity, one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.

Remember this: if you look for a fight, you are sure to find one.
