Programs at Reinstein Woods

The following events are all scheduled at the Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, 93 Honorine Drive, Depew, unless otherwise noted. For more information or to register for a specific event, call 683-5959.

After-school escape

Kids and their parents or caregivers can enjoy a different hour-long outdoor activity each week, starting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15. The program is for children in kindergarten through grade five. No registration is required.

Take a Hike

Join former intern Jerry Krajna as he shares his personal hiking experiences and talks about exploring natural areas in Western New York at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17. Attendees will learn how to set up a hike plan, what sort of gear to have, what to do in an emergency situation on the trail and how to locate new natural areas to explore. Registration is required.

Turtle Talk

Celebrate World Sea Turtle Day by discovering their freshwater relatives at Reinstein Woods at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17. Registration is required.

Woods Walk: Nature guide’s choice

Join a guided nature walk through the woods at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17. No registration is required.

Pollinator Power

Help kick off Pollinator Awareness Week, as Reinstein Woods transforms a trail into an outdoor exhibit on the importance of local pollinators. The program is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 19. Registration is required.

Senior Stroll

Experience nature at your own pace, and enjoy a leisurely, guided walk through the woods beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21. This program is for adults only, and registration is required.
