Stories in the woods

Enjoy hearing a nature story, followed by a guided walk in the woods at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13. The program is for children ages 3 to 7. Registration is required.

The search for monarchs

Learn about the monarch butterfly’s lifecycle and help search for eggs, caterpillars and adult butterflies during a hike beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 15. The hike is for adults and children ages 10 and older. Registration is required

Woods Walk: Nature guide’s choice

Join a guided nature walk through the woods at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15. No registration is required.

Senior Stroll

Experience nature at your own pace, and enjoy a leisurely, guided walk through the woods beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19. This program is for adults only, and registration is required.

Birding 101: Summer birds

Search for summer birds in the woods, such as gnatcatchers, kinglets, titmice and vireos at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, in the seventh Birding 101 class. The program is for adults and children ages 8 and older. Registration is required.

Going Batty!

Bats are amazing, often misunderstood animals. Separate fact from fiction, and learn about the only true flying mammals at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19. Registration is required.

Family Nature Hour

Sessions are held at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday through July 26 at the Julia Boyer Reinstein Library, 1030 Losson Road. Contact the library at 668-4991 to register.
